I think about this a lot. People...You are so right! I think about this a lot. People now are complaining about the heat, and they have AC. Imagine if they didn't. Now cars all come with it. I remember when we would ride with all the windows -and if we were lucky to have a convertible with the top- down. Windy, hard to hear, but still quite cooling. I live in a cool climate where the energy use is more heat than cooling, but still there is AC in all the stores, and when I shop I wear a sweatshirt. It's a problem I haven't heard anyone talk about before you.<br />By the way, I found your blog via your comment on my comment on a post of Terri Lynn's at Goodreads. I haven't used ac for about ...Sounds delicious! I haven't used ac for about 8 years. It came about because I was in a new job and couldn't afford to fix it, but I've adjusted for the most part. My house is old and has big trees, and like you I grew up here in NC w/o ac, so I know how to cope. The soup sounds great.
